Heading 4

Experiments with ice and paper began in 2010 and have evolved over the past 8 years. Intricate paper designs set into thin sheets of ice have been documented in daylight and moonlight,  at sunrise and sunset.  Ambient colours from the many locations that I have sought out are reflected in the ice, the subtle greens of the studio orchard, the warmth of the Grand Canyon and the remarkable blues of Crater Lake National Park. The ephemeral nature of the process has been an opportunity to explore ideas of our changing climate. Other portfolios use recycled sliced books to explore thoughts on how modern technology impacts on our use of books in the printed form.
