Over the years experiments with watercolours have been used as location based research studies for ice works.

New colourful abstract portfolios use watercolour in a series of compositions, in an ephemeral response to music.  Future works will explore organic themes and nature, linking back to my ice portfolios. The artworks themselves are microscopic, generally no bigger than 15cms. Composition is recorded during the making process with a macro lens, whilst the watercolour is still wet, the addition of conte pigment, inks and other mixed media add to the dynamic.

Links between the beautiful fluid nature of watercolour and qualities of silk have resulted in a new range of scarves, available through the silk shop.
